AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT is available for $899 US, its price falls fast, and it’s now below MSRP

AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT is available for $899 US, it is the first Graphics Card to be Priced below its retail MSRP of $999. This is the first in a while that a current-gen GPU has dropped below its MSRP. It is a sign that the GPUs are in stock and MSRP prices are back to normal.

AMD’s custom Radeon RX 6900 XT Gaming OC model from Gigabyte was $249 US more premium than the reference MSRP of $999 US, is now below the retail MSRP and now available at $949 US. This graphics card is actually listed for $999.99 US but with a rebate card, the retailer is offering a $50.0 US off which additionally cuts the pricing down to just $949.99 US. But before it was available as low as $899.99 US. NVIDIA RTX 3090 is still priced at around $1500-$2000 US, but by looking at the price the Radeon RX 6900 XT is a very good deal, considering that AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT matches the RTX 3090 in performance.

The Gigabyte Radeon RX 6900 XT Gaming OC graphics card, has a custom triple-fan cooler with a triple-slot design, a massive heatsink with six 6mm heat pipes, and to power the GPU it requires triple 8-pin connectors. On the flagship Navi 21 GPU, the Windforce 3X cooler’s performance is very good. In addition to the design, the graphics card comes with a factory overclock out of the box with clock speeds of 2050 MHz ‘Game’ mode and 2285 MHz ‘Boost’ mode, an increase of 35 and 25 MHz.

Now, this promotional deal might be indicating a cost adjustment to the current cards with the arrival of the AMD Radeon RX 6000 refresh lineup which is scheduled for launch next week. The AMD RX 6950 XT will be placed as a higher-tier model rather than a replacement for the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT but we can expect pricing between both cards to be very identical. Also, given that the GPU supply is basically normal, there’s no sense to pay a higher price for graphics cards now. Do note that the RX 6950 XT Gaming OC has already been spotted in listings but the prices being early are simply fantastic until the card officially launches.
