Recently AMD announced the new “Zen 3” and “Zen 2” processors are coming to the market very soon for DIY users, which includes the ground-breaking AMD 3D V-Cache technology processor, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D. Moreover, the other AMD CPUs like Ryzen 7 5700X, Ryzen 5 5600, Ryzen 5 5500, Ryzen 5 4600G, Ryzen 5 4500, and Ryzen 3 4100 are all here for different types of system builds.

All MSI 500, 400 and 300 Series Motherboards with AMD AGESA COMBO PI V2 1.2.0.6c

All MSI 500, 400, and 300 Series Motherboards Support the Latest Ryzen™ 5000 & 4000 Processors. Before that, you need to update your MSI motherboard’s BIOS to AMD AGESA COMBO PI V2 1.2.0.6c.

To deliver the best experiences to gamers and creators MSI is trying its best. This is why BIOS update is always great for most users. The latest BIOS version AMD AGESA COMBO PI V2 1.2.0.6c was released for some MSI 500 and 400 series motherboards. The purpose of the update BIOS AGESA 1.2.0.6c is not only for adequate compatibility but even for performance maximizing of AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D. For the older 300-series motherboards, MSI will release the beta BIOS AGESA COMBO PI V2 1.2.0.6c by the end of April.

  • Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Ryzen 7 5700X, Ryzen 5 5600, Ryzen 5 5500, Ryzen 5 4600G, Ryzen 5 4500, and Ryzen 3 4100
  • For now AMD 300 series motherboards (X370, B350, and A320) do not support Ryzen 5 5500 processors, please refer to AMD’s official announcement for more information regarding the support of AM4 socket processors.
  • Download and install the latest BIOS using M-Flash or BIOS Flashback according to your motherboard prider to update affected models.
  • Ensure to always download the latest BIOS from msi.com corresponding product pages.
