The MSI SUPRIM X based on GA102 GPU is the flagship model till now, the thickest graphics card in this generation.
The MSI SUPRIM X is a full custom-designed graphics card that comes with a triple-fan and 3.5-slot design. The MSI SUPRIM X offers a full performance of the GA102 with 10752 CUDA cores. The memory subsystem by far is the most important upgrade, which is now featuring 21 Gbps and 2 GB GDDR6X modules (Micron IZU47 D8BZC).
MSI SUPRIM X model delivers increased GPU clock speed to 1950 MHz for Gaming and 1965 MHz for Extreme modes respectively, compared to NVIDIA’s reference clock speed of 1860 MHz. This gain in clock speed of GPU comes at a cost of a higher TDP of 480W (+30W) but this is still within the capacity available through the latest PCIe Gen5 16-pin power connector and PCIe slot of 525W (450W + 75W).
The RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X weighs 2.1 kg which weighs 200g more than the RTX 3090 SUPRIM and it is a very thick 3.5 slot design.
In Display output configuration there are no changes, however, the card now has a three-slot I/O bracket, and that’s even not sufficient to cover the card’s size.
The launch date of MSI RTX 3090 Ti is March 29th. The official pricing has not yet been confirmed.
