The most recent Raptor Lake Core i7-13700K and Core i5-13600K benchmark results for DDR5 and DDR4 platforms have been released. ExtremePlayer at Bilibili, which has collected numerous performance, power, and temperature findings of the 13th Gen CPUs, is the source of the latest test results. To get further details about the device, stay with our blog and continue reading the following subject matter.

Intel Core i7-13700K and Core i5-13600K tested, DDR5 & DDR4 Benchmarks Leaked with Up To 12% Faster in Single & 40% Faster in Multi-Core performance with higher power consumption and temps

The Core i9-13900K, Core i7-13700K, and Core i5-13600K of Intel’s Raptor Lake CPUs are already being subjected to several tests. The updated benchmarks provide a clearer picture of the performance differences between DDR5 and DDR4, as well as the power consumption and temperature data for the two QS processors, which will be included in the final retail product. Although there may be a few minor disbranches between the retail and QS portions due to the premature BIOS, we anticipate that the final performance will fall within the 5–10% margin. Let’s quickly review the characteristics that both of these chips have to provide before we discuss the performance outcomes.

The Raptor Lake CPU lineup’s fastest 13th Gen Core i7 chip will be the Intel Core i7-13700K. There are a total of 24 threads and 16 cores on the processor. 8 P-Cores based on the Raptor Cove design and 8 E-Cores based on the Grace Mont core architecture enable this combination. The CPU has a 54 MB cache with 30 MB of L3 cache and 24 MB of L2 cache. The chip’s boost clock was 5.40 GHz, and its base clock was 3.4 GHz. The P-Cores’ all-core boost is clocked at 5.3 GHz, while the E-Cores have base and growth speeds of 3.4 GHz and 4.3 GHz, respectively.

Six Raptor Cove-based P-cores and eight Gracemont-based E-cores make up the total of 14 cores in the Intel Core i5-13600K. The E-Core count has been increased; however, the P-Core count is the same as the Intel Core i5-12600K. Therefore, compared to the Alder Lake Core i5-12600K, we are looking at a 40 percent core count increase and a 25 percent thread count increase. The CPU has a total cache size of 44 MB, consisting of 20 MB of L2 and 24 MB of L3 memory. The E-Cores run at 3.5 GHz base & 3.9 GHz boost clocks, while the clock speeds are set at 3.5 GHz base, 5.2 GHz boost, and 5.1 GHz all-core boost.

The tech publication used ASRock Z690 Steel Legend WiFi 6E motherboards to test DDR5 and DDR4 versions to compare the results. A DDR4-3600 32 GB CL18 kit was used for DDR4, and a DDR5-6400 32 GB (CL40) kit for DDR5. A Thermalright Frozen Magic 360 AIO cooler was used for cooling.

Regarding performance, many benchmarks were used to assess both Intel Raptor Lake CPUs. In CPU-z, the Core i7-13700K outperformed its predecessor by 10% in single-core performance and 34% in multi-core performance, while the Core i5-13600K outperformed it by 5% in single-core performance and 40% in multi-core. The following charts show the complete benchmarks.

Intel Raptor Lake Core i7-13700K & Core i5-13600K CPU Benchmarks

When all single-core tests are considered, the Intel Core i7-13700K CPU shows a 12 percent gain, while the Core i5-13600K shows a 9.6 percent improvement. For multi-core tests, the Intel Core i7-13700K offers an average performance improvement of 32.7 percent, while the Core i5-13600K offers a gain of 34 percent.

Intel Raptor Lake Core i7-13700K & Core i5-13600K CPU Latency Tests

Both CPUs produce almost the same latency with DDR4 memory; however, the higher-end model’s DDR5 DRAM results in somewhat better latency figures, reducing the full latency time by 4.86 percent.
