Finally, AMD’s latest desktop processor, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, release the date and price. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D will be available in stores at a price of $449 from April 20th, 2022. AMD proudly claims it to be the “world’s fastest gaming processor.”
The new Ryzen 7 5800X3D is quite identical to its predecessor Ryzen 7 5800X, with 8 cores, 16 threads, and compatibility with AMD’s AM4 socket. The main difference in AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D is that it has 3D-stacking V-Cache technology and more L3 cache 96MB compared to 32MB L3 cache on AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. Compared to the Ryzen 5900X which has 12 cores and 24 threads, AMD says that more cache should increase overall performance by about 15%.
AMD also announced a list of several other new Zen 2 and Zen 3 desktop processors which are at the lower end of its range. Ryzen 7 5700X at a price of $299 which offers 8 cores, 16 threads, and a boosted clock speed of 4.6GHz. And the $99 Ryzen 3 4100 is the cheapest CPU among these processors.
The Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3 models will be available in stores from 4th April and also come with an AMD Wraith Cooler.
All these processors which AMD released, are not AMD’s next-gen Ryzen 7000 series chips. The Ryzen 7000 series will launch with AMD’s upcoming Zen 4 architecture on a new 5nm process. We can’t 7000 series until the second half of 2022.
